The Secret: Be Happy.
The secret is to be happy. Find happy moments & day dream about them.
All day.
I ask my kids - tell me a time when you were happy or was having fun. They say - the library, the beach, frisbee outside, swinging, playing video games, boating at grandma & papas, feeding the pigs at grandpas farm, suckers from grandpa. The CHALLENGE for us as parents is to provide our kids with those fun experiences. Experiences they can think about during the day, at school, with their friends or before falling asleep at night.
I say CHALLENGE because it is. As parents, trying to wrangle up kids, your husband, the dog, suitcases, tickets, snacks, getting somewhere on time all while not freaking out - takes skill. But we do it so our family has those experiences to laugh about together.
But wait, we’ve been told by society, ‘don’t think about the past or the future - you’ll get anxiety/depression, ahhhhh!’
Wrong.
What matters is what you are focusing on. Focus on the times in your past when you had a great time. Ate great food, met a new friend. I want to hear about your future goals, that business you want to open, the places you want to visit. Tell me stories about that, I want to hear those stories.
Focus on those times as often as you can throughout the day. If you do that, more positive people, experiences, thoughts, feelings will continue.
All day, everyday.
So, let me answer - what makes me happy? I am happy knowing I am raising my kids in this environment. Have the knowledge & ability to build a beautiful business where I can help people do the same. I want to help build your confidence back, strengthen your mental health, giving YOU tools on how to focus on what you really want out of this life.
Most importantly, provide our children with the tools on how they can control the thoughts they think. Guiding them to their purpose & meaning in life. Let them make their own cool
Now it’s your turn, answer the question what makes me happy? What past experiences make you smile or laugh when you think about them? Who was there? What did you eat? What did it taste like? Where did you go? What did it sound like?
